[link]The story of the Salvaje Mountains Valley is an epic tale, one that sadly ends in tragedy rather than happily ever after. But that just seems to be the way life is in these lands: nothing is quite as easy as it seems and what looks like perfection is really a mistake in clever disguise. The wolves who inhabited these lands for several years learned that lesson many times over in their day. After years of warring with each other – a sorry legend of one family versus its own flesh and blood – one pack met a devastating end as their homeland, Nova Mountain, suffered a wild fire that killed many. What was left of their torn association was warmly accepted by their former enemy in a touching gesture of solidarity.
The neighboring Golden Sun Pack, which had risen to take on the Dark Moons and ultimately conquered by assimilating into its ranks those few Dark Moons who remained, was not long for this world either. A second great fire left many of the pack’s weary few dead, while many fled, and a handful ended up back in the neighboring Salvaje Valley.
That’s how the story always begins. You see, the tale has been told many times. It turns out that history repeats itself in this valley – quite literally. A heart-wrenching injustice ripped the intricate weavings of time surrounding the lands and now the story keeps starting and ending, only to start once again back where it all began.
And that’s where we are now: the beginning. What happened here before was one of many runs through the course of time, one of many attempts to set things right that, inevitably it seems, failed. Perhaps this time the injustice will be repaired, or perhaps it is already too late to save the valley and things are once again doomed to repeat themselves.
No one really knows – each time the story ends differently, even if the beginning is much the same. But things are already different now: three stragglers remained after the massacre of the Golden Sun Pack rather than the two, with each picking a land and starting anew there, each vowing not to allow their charges to war amongst themselves, but not a single one realizing that what is happening now happened before.
The timeloop has reset itself and no one in this world seems to know – and they never will. Will time prevail or is this merely another iteration of the pastToday, there are 6 booming packs, Strawberry Fields, Winterheart Forest, Argent Falls, Silent Moon Plateu, Nova Mountain and the newly formed pack, Whisper Forest. And if that's not all, there are the lone wolves roaming the Salvajes, with the Valley Creatures of anykind.
